Dears clients,
Like so many of you, we have been learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and have been closely monitoring the situation. At Meadowsweet, we are committed to keeping our clients and our therapists happy and healthy through the coming weeks, and our main objective is to create a clean, safe and relaxing environment.
Due to the nature of our profession, our daily cleaning procedures are already very thorough, however given the current situation, we are elevating these procedures to keep our studio a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
These additional measures include increasing the frequency of disinfecting our lobby, bathroom and massage rooms, including door handles, light switches, keyboards, pens, tables and all surfaces. As always, we deep clean all of our massage tables, massage rooms and equipment after each use and wash our hands before and after meeting with each client.
We are asking all our clients to reschedule your appointment if you are currently feeling unwell or have been taking care of someone who is sick. If you do need to reschedule, under these circumstances, our cancellation policy will be waived.
We are so grateful to have a wonderful client community and believe our massage studio is a place of comfort and calm. Taking care of yourself is one of the important things you can do for your immunity. Massage therapy has actually been shown to boost your immune system as it increases your white blood cell count.
If you prefer staying home, consider buying gift certificates from the local businesses you usually visit – that way you can take care of your health AND your community. You can buy a gift certificate for a massage and have something to look forward to when things settle down. |
Here are some friendly tips to keep your immune system in shape: |
* Employ general immune supportive measures, such as taking Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin A, D and B daily, and using food as medicine, including Super Foods and herbs, like Reishi, Astragalus, Elderberry, and many more.. * Stay hydrated to keep the mucous membrane healthy * Support Gut health with probiotics * Inflammation matters: do what you can to reduce the impacts of stress, because stress doesn’t feel good AND because stress is inflammatory * Essential oils are your allies. We love the anti-viral “Ravintsara” (apply a few drops on your back around your kidney area everyday), and Thieves blend. You can also diffuse eos to clean the air! Try lemon, thieves, rosemary, orange, lavender. From all of us at Meadowsweet, we wish you all a peaceful happy day. |
